Title: Hopfish Algebras

Abstract

(Joint work with Xiang Tang and Chenchang Zhu). We introduce a generalization of the notion of Hopf algebra which may make it possible to consider the quantum torus as a new kind of "quantum group". A key step is a new interpretation of the antipode, which corresponds to inversion in an ordinary group.
