Burgundy Editor for XWindow is a text editor endowed with advanced capabilities:
- Original multiple documents interface,
- Syntax highlighting for C/C++, Java, Latex, Makefile, Pascal, Perl, Shell scripts, Tcl/Tk and Tex,
- Nesting control in these languages,
- Searching in files,
- User defined commands,
- User defined shorthand (macro) dictionaries,
- Printing support via enscript.
- Miscellaneous ergonomical functions : lines wrapping, indent/unindent selected lines, translation of accented letters to TeX commands...

Burgundy Editor uses the XWindow environnement and the Motif library (version 1.2.or later) or Lesstif library.
Burgundy Editor for XWindow is licenced under the terms of the GNU General Public Licence.
